Sent to live with Dave's (Lee) younger nephew Toby (Levi), the three singing chipmunks head back to school for an education. But the school's music program is about to go down, and the only way to save it is to win the cash prize in the upcoming battle of the bands. Though the Chipmunks are confident they have what it takes to win, a new trio, dubbed the Chippettes promises to give them stiff competition. As the competition nears, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore realizes that in order to win, they'll have to give it everything they've got and band together as a team.
