When the Ceremonial Police Band from Egypt journeys to Israel for a gig, they wind up stranded at the Israeli airport after their hosts fail to show. Trapped in a middle-of-nowhere desert town, they stop at a local cafe where the pretty but brash owner Dina (Elkabetz) offers to take band leader Tewfig (Gabai) and violinist Khaled (Bakri) in for the night. Despite their cultural differences, romance blooms and understandings develop. Eventually, the band and the residents make a significant impact on each other, forever changing their lives.
