Directors Danny and Oxide Pang (The Messengers) return to familiar territory with this remake of their popular 1999 thriller about Joe, (Cage), a ruthless hit man who travels to Bangkok to murder four enemies of his boss. Once there, he forms a relationship with Kong (Yamnarm), a young street criminal that he hires to run his errands. Over time, Joe becomes a mentor to the youngster. Joe also finds himself falling for a pretty, deaf pharmacist Fion (Yeung). While Joe welcomes the comfort and security Fion provides, these new relationships could prove dangerous, distracting him from the job he’s been hired to complete.
