Glastonbury Festival is the largest and most revered open air music and performing arts festival in the world and a template for all the festivals that have followed it. Each year it draws the biggest names in the music business as well as new and up and coming acts.

2011 saw English rock band Coldplay take to the Pyramid stage. Six Brit Awards, four MTV Awards and seven Grammy Awards – Coldplay are one of the biggest bands in the world and have sold over 50 million records worldwide. Their latest album Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends was the best-selling album of 2008 globally. Their third headline appearance at Glastonbury in nine years, Coldplay put on an amazing performance, to the delight of the crowd. Fireworks and light shows combined with near faultless renditions of classic hits including Yellow, Shiver, In My Place and Viva La Vida as well as new track Every Teardrop is a Waterfall.
