Starring Hugh Jackman (Australia) in the title role, X-Men Origins: Wolverine traces the origins of the popular steel-clawed character, including his time with the government-run Weapon X program. Led by Colonel William Stryker (Huston), the program enhanced the mutants’ abilities and turned regular humans into living weapons. As well as exploring Wolverine’s complex relationship with half-brother Victor Creed (Schreiber), the film introduces other legendary characters of the X-Men universe including Deadpool (Reynolds) and Gambit (Taylor Kitsch).
