Lily (Tom) is an average woman living a simple life. But things get a lot more complicated when she moves in with her ailing mother Inez (Walsh). Inez is lonely and bitter after her own husband left her years ago and feels that Lily is the only person she has left in the world. Creating a tangled web of lies and guilt around Lily, she is now hesitant to leave her mother’s side. But when Lily begins falling for a guy at work, she fears her daughter will leave her one day. Using extreme measures, Inez does whatever she can to sabotage their relationship in order to keep Lily by her side forever.
