After a vicious attack by mysterious forces, Odysseus (Vosloo) and his men find themselves shipwrecked on the mysterious Isle of the Mists. While wandering the island for supplies and shelter, they discover that the island is ruled by Persephone (von Pfetten), an evil entity who has taken the castaways as her prisoners and keeps them trapped by a horde of nightmarish creatures known as Shadow Beasts.
