Spoofing comic-book epics like Spider-Man, X-Men and Fantastic Four, Superhero Movie follows Rick Riker (Bell, Drake and Josh), a nerdish high school student who gains superpowers after being bitten by a genetically-enhanced dragonfly. Although he has no control over his newfound powers, Rick vows to fight crime and assumes the identity of The Dragonfly. Meanwhile, billionaire industrialist Lou Landers (McDonald, The House Bunny) is the victim of an experiment gone horribly awry. As the villainous Hourglass, he must kill someone every day to stay alive. Can Rick fulfill his destiny as a true hero and save the world from the Hourglass’ wrath?
