Charlie Bank's (Eisenberg) stable life at a prestigious university is shaken when Mick (Ritter), an old acquaintance with a violent past, unexpectedly shows up on campus. As he settles into campus life, the charismatic Mick quickly wins over Charlie’s friends, including his longtime crush, Mary (Amurri). But when Charlie threatens to reveal a secret about Mick’s past, unresolved feelings of jealousy, fear and resentment surface, prompting a showdown between the two.
