After a violent storm wreaks havoc on a small town, David Drayton (Jane, The Punisher) and his young son head to a nearby grocery store for supplies. When a mysterious mist suddenly appears and envelops the area, they get trapped in the store along with a group of locals. As they discover, the mist conceals monstrous, bloodthirsty creatures from a hellish other dimension. Preying on their fears, the local religious zealot (Harden, The Hoax) convinces the group that the mist is punishment from God and forces them to take sides. Drayton and his allies soon realize that they may be trapped inside with an enemy that is just as dangerous and deadly as the one outside.
