In this dark political satire, John Cusack stars as Hauser, a hit man hired by a former US Vice President (Dan Akroyd) who now runs an American corporation. Hauser’s target is a Middle East oil minister. With him out of the picture, the VP can gain a monopoly on the oil fields. To pull off the hit, Hauser must pose as an event organizer, maintain his cover by arranging the wedding of a young Middle Eastern pop star (Duff), and keep his feelings in check for an attractive reporter (Tomei).
